Marlene again.  I have completed a lay out that is very heavy on the Cricut cuts.  The title which translates to "corn" was done with Paper Dolls Dress Up, accessories 2, upper case on the Indian Girl character.  The figure was cut twice, one green and one yellow.  I cut the title with Cuttin Up on the cartoon mode using Design Studio so the shadow (not available on cartoon) was stretched slightly to get a similar effect.  Mickey and Friends has the sun character which I cut 4 times and glued together to get a chipboard look.

The yellow cardstock cuts were run through a Cuttlebug using the Mesh folder then chalked to look like corn.   I used Design Studio for the corn stalks and letters, first cutting the characters then  WITHOUT removing the characters, a Cricut pen was inserted in the blade housing  and the image was "cut" again to get the outline effect.  Design Studio always takes the blade housing back to the starting point, without DS you can press  Load Paper and that will also take the blade housing back to it's original position.  As long as nothing was moved on the mat, an outline can be made.

The sun and the corn were all liberally chalked for depth.  For details describing the pictures  and products used you can check my blog.

  4. As always I love your papers! You do such a great job mixing the patterns together! Think I get a little intimidated by the pattern myself, don't know why.

  5. Such a lot of work Marlene and it looks great. Like the idea of using DS for the shadow when it isn't available, and chalking the corn worked really well, it pops off the page. Lovely LO.
