Baby Boy Mini Album

I have 2 daughters and 4 granddaughters and all my friends it seems has girls.  I make these albums for baby and wedding showers.  Boy can I bling and fru-fru (Ria's new word) out those girls albums.  So, when my neighbor had a boy I was at loss for ideas.  I knew I had to go with a masculine theme so that I wouldn't make it too girly.  Baseball seemed the right idea.  There is no bling, ribbon, lace, stickles on this.  This is made out of 4 - 12x12 papers.  They are folded and glued together.  One end is cut off and that is the side the holes are punched in.  Add rings in the holes and decorate to your hearts desire.  I used Mickey Font on all the letters and the Baseball cart on every page.  The mother loved this and had decorated the nursery in sports theme.  It is very hard for me to explain how to fold this in writing.  If you can't figure it out, let me know and I will try to show the technique on here.      "This is Donna, signing out until Tuesday."

Birthday card

Hi, Marlene posting here. I have done (another) birthday card using a photo on the front without much decoration, just some patterned paper from Echo Park Country Drive - scraps of course - the top strip was done with a Martha Stewart border punch. I am enjoying decorating the inside of the card with the sentiment. All of the cuts were made with Birthday Bash.

Luminiere

Hi, Marlene again. This weekend is Relay for Life in my hometown. I did a luminiere in honor of my brother-in-law who succumbed to colon cancer in 2004. I used Black Letter for the name and Everyday Paper Dolls Dress Up for the shamrock. The project was liberally Stickled.

Cribbage

Hi, Marlene here. My project this time took a technique from http://ideasforscrapbookers.blogspot.com/2011/07/star-flowers.html and modified it for a Cricut. The original instructions call for a punch, but I wanted a different size and don't have any star punches. With George, I cut 2 each - 3 1/2 inch stars, 3 inches, 2 1/2 inches and 2 inches. I pinched the edges which worked well with the Cricut character because all of the edges were nice and pointy. I used Adirondik dabber paint, pool blue to color the edges of everything. The letters were cut out of actual cards using my deep cut blade and the Old West cart. All papers, etc were from the July Scraptastic Kit.

For all of the non-cribbage players, the rhetoric is as much a part of the game as the pegs. Points are counted in a certain order - 15 is worth 2 points, so 15 -2, 15-4 etc. If anyone only gets 4 points they say Ain't No More.

Birthday Card

Hi Lesley again, this is a pretty little card for a 70 year old's birthday this weekend, don't make cards often but I know she's of an age where she will really appreciate hand made cards although not a crafty person herself.

Pretty simple to create with 3 blocks of patterned paper over which I put a cut from 'Paper Lace' cartridge. Cut the oblong with scallop circle edge from 'Elegant Edges' cart and inked the edges with 'Versa Magic' Pink Petunia. The 'Just Because' phrase is from 'Paper Lace' cart. Down the left hand trim and on the butterfly wings, I used Stickles 'Cotton Candy'. Flowers and ribbons miscellaneous from my stash.

Mini Book

This time I've done a mini book with 4 pages of photos of my grandsons life up to his 2nd birthday, I've done this to send to his mum who isn't having much luck squeezing scrap time into a busy life, and like the current trend their photos are kept on a computer, so with this they have a record of his life without logging into a computer.

I used the Cricut Cartridge 'A Child's Life' for the front silhouettes and have raised the white background on 3D tape. The inside cover I used a combination of 'New Arrival' and 'Nate's ABC'. The red border at the bottom of the silhouettes on the front cover was another border trim from the cart "Elegant Edges'.

Happy Birthday to Me

Hi everyone its Lesley again with a couple of projects coming up over the rest of the week.

The first is a layout in the series of my dgs's 1st Birthday celebrations, felt guilty that I hadn't started scrapping it when I received pictures from my dd of his 2nd birthday, so am on a roll at the moment trying to catch up.

With this one I used my new favourite cart 'Elegant Edges' to create the gorgeous border trim which this cart has many of, it's like buying a whole pile of new punches, what a bonus. The banner was cut using 'Nate's ABC' another cart I love as it also has a really good basic style font which I've done the 'To Me' with on this. The layered Elmo figures were cut from the cart 'Elmo's Party' along with the layered balloons. Used some embossing floss to pull the banner together and a punched border and a cute picture that you'd think he really was singing in..and there it is...hope you enjoy it.

Paper Lace Card

Happy Wednesday everyone! It's Barbara again, and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! I had planned on showing you a layout, but it wasn't coming together the way I wanted and I didn't want to rush it. So I have a very simple card using the Paper Lace cart. I cut the bottom piece using Lace 2 on pg 23 of the book. On my gypsy I put the height at 4.75 inches and let the gypsy figure the width. For the pop out feature, I cut out the Lace 2 shadow on page 32 at 3 inches. Next I cut the Lace 2 on pg 32 at 3 inches. I added some stickles to the flower looking cutout and then sprinkled glitter over it. I added some pearls, a jewel to the center of the flower, and bam, your done! Hehehe, I have always wanted to say bam like Emeril!! LOL! Anyway, I think anyone would love to receive this card, and would think you went to so much work when it was really quite easy! I hope it inspires you! Now here's my card:

Picturesque and Kate's ABC'S

Hello everyone, Barbara here! I hope everyone has some fantastic plans for the Fourth of July weekend! We will be lighting fireworks for the Grandbaby, if she can handle the noise! LOL! It's all safe and legal in my county, so no worries!

I have a layout to share with you of my grandaughter. She is such a ham! It probably has something to do with Grandma putting the camera in her face every day, since the time she was born! LOL! Now she runs right towards me whenever she sees the camera. It is hard to get a full head shot unless someone is there to ditract her. So I decided to use all those photos for one layout. You can see how she hams it up! I used the Picturesque cart for the corner shapes on the purple paper. The title was made using Kate's ABC's. The papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist collection. And of course I used white cardstock. The border around the purple paper was made using a Martha Stewart punch. The large blue scallops were made with an EK Success punch. On the sides of the photos is some old Thickers I have had forever! It's nice to finally put them to use! And here's my layout:

I hope evryone has a safe and wonderful holiday weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
